In February 2026, OneWorld carried out a combined school rehabilitation and medical outreach in Goun Community, Magboro, Ogun State, centered on Goun Government Secondary School.
As part of the initiative, the OneWorld team rehabilitated facilities at the school to create a safer, more conducive learning environment for students. Alongside this, a medical outreach team distributed mosquito nets, sanitary pads and contraceptives to residents, and delivered health education sessions covering topics relevant to the community’s wellbeing.
More than 300 community members attended the outreach, supported by 35 OneWorld volunteers who coordinated the rehabilitation work, health education sessions and distribution of relief materials. The elders of Goun Community were present throughout, lending their support to the initiative.
The Goun outreach reflects OneWorld’s ongoing commitment to improving both health outcomes and educational infrastructure in the communities it serves.
